Radio-to-telephony interoperability
SIP Radio Gateway
Secure SIP/RoIP with FIPS 140-3 and JITC compliance. It connects your land mobile radio systems to IP telephony, so your people can place, patch, monitor and conference calls between radios and phones. We implement, integrate and support* it in your environment.
Radios and phones that cannot reach each other
Radio networks and telephone systems usually run apart. A radio user cannot call a phone, and a phone user cannot reach a radio channel.
Channels on different bands or technologies cannot talk to each other without extra equipment.

What it does
SIP Radio Gateway makes a radio base station act like a telephone station on your voice network, over IP and SIP.
Key capabilities
Radio as a phone station
Radio base stations originate and receive calls, conference, hold and transfer like a PBX station. Any phone can dial into any radio gateway and talk using push-to-talk.
Patching and conferencing
Patch or conference any radio with any phone or group of phones. Cross-band mismatched channels through the voice network.
Mobile radio access
Mobile radio users can dial into the voice network. A squelch break can start a phone call.
Notifications
Radio emergency notifications and unified communications emergency broadcasts.
Monitoring and recording
Radio monitoring, auditing and management, and radio recording through donor radios.
Who it is for
Enterprises, campuses, transportation operators and agencies that run their own communications.
Emergency call centers
Interoperability for emergency calls and first-responder dispatch.
Campus operations
Radios and phones connected across diverse sites.
Mixed radio fleets
Patching across channels, frequencies and radio technologies.
Deployment and connectivity
The gateway connects to your radio systems through donor radios, and to your telephony through dial-up or permanent connectivity over IP/SIP trunks. FIPS-compliant software options are available.
Integration
Radio: analog UHF/VHF, P25, TETRA and 700/800 MHz digital radios. Telephony: your PBX and SIP trunks. It also integrates with the SEQUENCE® platform for voice and collaboration. Interoperability depends on your radios, networks, configuration and procedures.
Important note
SIP Radio Gateway is a communications tool. It is not a life-safety system or an emergency answering service, and it does not replace your emergency procedures, which remain your organization’s responsibility.
